Guide to Conector Stripe to InvoiceXpress by Betacode: what it does, how it connects Stripe and InvoiceXpress, and how to configure your account to issue Portuguese legal invoices.

1. Purpose

Many businesses charge on Stripe but need valid Portuguese tax documents in InvoiceXpress. The connector fills that gap: it imports Stripe invoices and customers, lets you review tax ID, VAT and details, then creates the document in InvoiceXpress — with human review or automation, per your rules.

It does not replace Stripe or InvoiceXpress: it bridges them, with the web app as the main workspace and the Stripe plugin as the configuration cockpit.

2. How it works

The product has three parts that work together:

  1. Stripe App (plugin) — UI Extension in the Stripe Dashboard. Configure tokens, see connection status, and open the web app (secure handoff).
  2. Web app — invoice and customer lists, review, IX creation, automation, Service billing, and support tickets. (stripe-ix.betacode.tech)
  3. API — syncs data, stores credentials per account, processes webhooks and queues (IX creation, backfill, automation).

Typical flow: paid invoice on Stripe → synced in the app → review / adjust VAT → create InvoiceXpress document (manual or automatic) → IX status visible in the list.

3. Configure your account

Follow these steps on first install:

  1. Install the app
Install from the Stripe Marketplace on the intended Stripe account (test or live). Stripe Marketplace.
  2. Open the plugin Home
In the Stripe Dashboard, open the app view. You should see connection status and credential fields.
  3. Configure tokens
Authorize the app via Stripe Marketplace OAuth, then enter InvoiceXpress credentials (account + API key). Without both valid, handoff and sync stay blocked.
  4. Confirm linked status
When the connection is OK, the plugin shows the correct status and enables the CTA to open the web app.
  5. Open the web app (handoff)
Use the plugin button/CTA to open the web app with your Stripe account session. The session stays in the browser — later visits can go straight to the app if still signed in.

You can update tokens later in the plugin if you regenerate keys in Stripe or InvoiceXpress.

4. Using the app

  • Invoices — see synced Stripe invoices, InvoiceXpress status, filter and select to create IX documents in bulk or one by one.
  • Customers — view and edit data (including default IX VAT rate) before issuing.
  • Tax — apply or change VAT on selected invoices; the connector can infer rates from the customer country on sync.
  • Ignore / manage — mark invoices not to sync, cancel in IX, or reopen flows as available in the table.

Recommendation: on first use, create a few invoices manually to validate tax ID, addresses and VAT before enabling automation.

5. Automation

In Settings (and shortcuts in the app bar) you can enable automatic creation in InvoiceXpress:

  • Instant — when a relevant invoice webhook arrives from Stripe.
  • Nightly catch-up — at end of day creates missing documents per your preferences.

Automation uses the rules and rates you define; keep monitoring the invoice list and IX status.

6. Trial and plans

New accounts start with a trial of 5 InvoiceXpress invoices. After that, choose a monthly or yearly plan on the pricing / billing page. Payment for the Service subscription is via Stripe Checkout / Customer Portal.

Billing your customers stays on Stripe; the subscription here only covers connector usage.
